Summary: The refugee crisis will be overcome more easily with calm concern than widespread fear and hysteria, claims the Austrian theologian and values researcher Paul M. Zulehner. He demonstrates why a political shift to the right does not help. The inward flow is manageable through working on the reasons people flee their countries of origin. How do we handle and integrate the 100.000 asylum-seeking-people in Austria? Do we engage with them or face them with fear and hatred? In future, even more people from the south (including Africa) will move north, prompted by poverty, climate change, and hope for a better life. Europe needs well-ordered and intelligent migration control.
